Our History
City Bank New Mexico opened for business on November 27, 2001 in Ruidoso, New Mexico to provide community banking services to the citizens of Lincoln County. The bank remains the only State Chartered, locally managed and operated, independent community bank in Ruidoso and Lincoln County. We are the only Lincoln County bank that maintains a local Board of Directors made up of local business men and women who are active and engaged in their respective communities.
The need for a locally managed community bank in touch with its customers is evident in the growth of the bank. In just six years the bank has grown to over $100 million in assets with four locations serving Lincoln County and surrounding areas. Although the bank became the largest bank in the community in just over four years, the Board of Directors and management take great pride in maintaining personalized customer service where the customer is always greeted by name and a phone call is always answered by a person.
